  • The number of appointments depends on the kind of issue you are working to resolve. Some concerns can be addressed in just one appointment, while others may take longer.

    The average number of appointments for psychological services is around six. If you are coming for couples therapy, the timeframe tends to be longer.

  • The time you spend in therapy is small compared to the number of hours you spend in life. I will often ask you to take the skills you learned in our sessions into the real world.

    Like anything in life, the more investment you make in changing behaviour, the more likely you are to see results.

  • No. I will work with you to meet any goal you are striving towards. I have worked with hundreds of clients who have significantly changed their lives with harm reduction approaches.

  • I want to get right to hearing about your concern. On your first appointment, I will ask you questions about what you want to focus on. Before the end of the appointment, I will give you tangible strategies that you can use immediately.

    If you don’t feel like we have a connection after the first session, you don’t have to feel obligated to come back. You should feel accepted and safe with your therapist.

  • I follow the fee schedule set out by the Manitoba Psychological Society of $215 per 50 min of service.

    I prefer e-transfer but also take credit card. I do not direct bill insurance but you can easily claim the funds with the information provided on the receipt at the time of the session.
